Providing Bio-energy technologies and services.
- Bio resources (biomass such as dung and herbaceous materials) to be utilized in village specific biogas plants
- Biomass based fruit and vegetable driers in the villages will reduce distress sale of these perishables and add value and increase shelf life to agro-produce by this pre-processing.
- Bioelectricity for irrigation, agro pre processing, etc. that enhances the productivity of human effort and land and paves way for local value addition and wealth generation to enhance cash flow and improve economic viability.
Domestic illumination and safe drinking water supply through bio-energy
- Biogas system: The biogas plants will be sited and designed to minimize distribution costs and derive economies of scale
- Bioelectricity system: The bioelectricity system would utilize multiple 20kW producer gas units, sited and installed to derive maximum convenience of use and minimize distribution costs. Each unit will serve 3‑4 high yielding recharged wells and the water pumped will be metered and distributed to individual farms on a 'first come first serve' basis.

Scheduling of power plants: The electric power rated at 1.2 MW consists of a distributed generating system made up of 20kW units.
Surveys- cartographic, topographic, socio-economic, biodiversity, electrical resistivity and geomagnetic profiles, watershed and land contour, ground-water potential and water use, soil types and top- soil characterization, local and external crop and plant species for potential income generation in irrigated plots, economically valuable tree and plant species for rain fed lands, skill levels among the participants for productive use of land and water, etc., analyses and review.

As a part of the training program component, 125 middle and management level personnel (NGOs) capable of replicating these systems would form the bulk of the technology carriers. Plant operators, maintenance and monitoring personnel (65) under the VDIs would be the bulk of the HRD component envisaged.
Regional Institutions : They would provide trained man-power and contract service for R&D components, testing and certification, third party evaluation and monitoring, dissemination of information and training as well as skill development.
